No matter how old I turn, that quiet, mournful female vocal at the end of Frozen Throne cinematic as camera zooms out the Icecrown will always give me chills, no pun intended.

"This is where your journey ends, boy. Trapped and freezing at the roof of the world, with only death to sing the tale of your doom."

THAT is what I searched all those years!!!! THIS is really like from the ending of "The Frozen Throne", not the kids-voice-version. This is much more sad and regretful, also much more beautiful! THANK YOU

its a powerful moment
Arthas had it all.
However the harder he tried to keep it all together the quicker he lost it
and when he eventually ascended the throne, he became a king of nothing, isolated and alone.

You really cannot help but feel sorry for Arthas. He was to be king of one of the greatest kingdoms and be with the woman he loved more than anyone. However, when he put his duty to cleanse the scourge before his life, he destroyed himself and become the Lich King. Such a tragic fate.

Atop the Icecrown, the roof of world itself, the lone king ruled the land of undeath.

His name was Arthas... name of his past.

Now... he is The Lich King.

That minor ending... it's not triumphal like Arthas, My Son (which is clearly based on this) it's sad, lonely.

It's like that lonely spike of cold ice above cold water in the harsh winds.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing this.

how come i only come across this now. Im glad someone is paying attention to that last piece of track. it always captivated me, with the haunting vocals and an eerie touch.. alas it was never released, and we have very little information regarding it. its the original track, on which invincible was based, however it seems to be terribly underrated and simply lost in (nether) time, kinda

Searched for something like this more then once over the years. Finally this video popped up.
I fell in love with this piece of musical art when I first finished the campaign of one of the best (maybe the best) addon/expansion whatever you want to call it that was ever released.
I even use it for meditation. I wonder if anyone else had that idea.
PS: Same with track of the Wrath of the Lich King trailer (even though I never played it)...just speaks to me on a deeper level I can not quite comprehend.

No king rules forever, but he will never be forgotten. He deserved a better sendoff.

It shouldve ended here....the whole story....to remain as epic as it was...

I actually played Warcraft 3 campaign before Reforged ruined it for good. This song has so much more meaning now.
