This educational video teaches the basic elements of the Plot Diagram (exposition, inciting incident, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution) using examples from Disney's Frozen II and Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It can help satisfy the English Language Arts standards of upper elementary and middle grades.

I have to say...every year that I teach plot elements to my fifth graders - this is the video I LOVE to use. The students are able to full understand the plot elements and are able to apply it to two popular movies!

Your welcome: exposition - background information about the setting and the characters
rising action - events that lead up to a climax
climax - the turning point of the story... it creates a shift in the plot, and a change in the characters
Falling action - The events that follow the climax, leading to the resolution
Resolution - The calm after the storm... Its when all loose ends are tied up in some way.

Really helpful for teaching my 6th grade writing students.

I will say though that turning point and climax are separate. turning point comes before the climax which is the highest point of tension in any story. Very near to each other, but not the same.

Hope your doing good for the people who have to do this for online school

I think the rising action of Spiderman ended when he jumped off the building. There are tons of videos explaining it.
Great video though, actually helped.

This should be useful for when you're making a fnaf fangame or a Fnaf inspired Video Horror Story

The inciting incident in Spider-Man is when he's bitten by the spider. The collider part is at the end. The inciting incident kicks off a series of events, leading up to the climax. So, he's normal, everyday Miles Morales, UNTIL he's bitten by the spider. Everything before the bite is exposition and the bite itself, kicks off the story. The rising action is his learning to be Spider-Man and the climax is his ending fight. He's resolved by meeting his other friends and living his life as a superhero.

You don't even need to use the video for plot. The comments section has more plot than any of my writings
