Pov: Y/n's family was taken by voldomort just like Harry's but Dumbledore fought off voldomort to say y/n. Ever since that day y/n was raised at hogwarts. They wouldn't go home for holidays or summer but would stay there. They were able to write with serious and become friends with him. They were so close with most if not all the teachers. They even knew some of the gossip and secrets about the school. They knew all the hidden passages and tricks to use. They were POWERFUL since they could be taught when ever they wished. When the attacks began y/n lost one person at a time. They were already dealing with the grief of their family since Dumbledore recently told them and now they started loosing the only family they had known. One of the worst years was when Cedric died since they had been dating (or friends if that pleases you). Y/n knew well of lose but never broke. They had been taught to never show the world that it had gotten the best of them. So that's what they did and tore themselve apart from the inside out.

pov pt 1:

y/n couldn't see the thestrals. but she lost everyone. y/n was the daughter of sirius black.

y/n was abandoned for 13 years, while sirius was in azkaban.

soon enough, y/n got accepted into hogwarts. y/n became friends with the trio, and found out sirius was out of azkaban.

y/n snuck into the shrieking shack, trying to avoid hermione, harry and ron.

there he was. y/n's father. sirius black.

pt 2

"y/n-" sirius had noticed y/n. harry spun around, his wand at the ready.

"relax, it's just me, " y/n tried to chuckle, but she was holding back tears.

"oh, sorry y/n. i didn't expect you to be here." harry said with a bit of a know-it-all tone.

y/n smiled. they went back to hogwarts all together.

*2 years later*

y/n was arriving at hogwarts, for her 6th year. she spent her summer at a sleepaway camp.

"oh my gosh! you guys are so cute, " she nuzzled one of the thestrals. "when did hogwarts get you guys?"

"they've always been there." harry said, appearing.

"oh-- i guess i've just never noticed them."


"you can see them when you've lost someone that was dear to you."

"yeah, nice story harry." she chuckled. y/n stared at harry's face. he wasn't joking.

pt 3:

"y/n. I'm not joking..." Harry glanced down at the floor. "Sirius died. . ."

"NO!" y/n screamed, crying. she couldn't handle the thought of her only parent, even though he was barely ever there, being gone.

"Please..."y/n cried in her bedroom, "don't let me lose him..."

pt 4:

after weeks, y/n finally started showing up to her classes. it felt hard to see harry, especially after he told her she lost her father.

"y/n!" harry saw her in the class, "are you okay?"

"yeah of course!" y/n held back her tears. "i'm fine."


Harry would glance at y/n. "i'm really sorry."

"it's not your fault, harry." y/n would glance down at her feet. "but is there any memory of my father?"

harry would quickly switch to looking down. "uh-- listen y/n, i need to get to my next class."

harry was hiding something. y/n knew it.

pt 5:

"harry!" y/n had finally found him. "is there any memory of sirius?"

"uhm, to be honest y/n..." harry would pause, "I have his house."

y/n was shocked. how could **sirius** her own **father** leave his treasures to harry?!

I watched so many of the people that loved and supported me disappear. I’m not discounting your parents, so don’t discount my losses.
