LUMION LIVE SYNC TUTORIAL - Update Automatically from SketchUp to Lumion

In this video, we talk about Live Sync - Lumion's SketchUp extension that allows Lumion to live update any changes to your SketchUp model in real-time!

One of the most powerful new features contained in Lumion 8 is the ability to change your models directly within SketchUp and have them also change within Lumion. This means that now instead of making changes and having to re-import your model constantly, you can simply make a change in your SketchUp model and it will automatically update.
That can be valuable for many different things. For example, this is a 3D warehouse model that I pulled down, and it has trees included. As you know, Lumion has a great library of trees, so maybe the trees you had in the SketchUp model initially aren’t a great fit. You don’t even have to delete them, you can simply hide them.
To use Livesync, you need to download and install the SketchUp livesync app from the 3D Warehouse. You can find it by opening up the 3D Warehouse and searching for “Lumion.”
Once you’ve installed the app, it’s simply a question of importing your SketchUp model into Lumion, then just clicking the “Play” button in the app in SketchUp. Now any changes you make in the SketchUp model will reflect in Lumion itself.
Note that you have the option to synchronize your camera view between Lumion and SketchUp, or you can turn it off.
In this case, let’s go in and make a couple of quick changes, then we’ll use a preset to quickly export a camera view of our model.

Hey great video, is there anyway to save a lumion file linked to revit and then edit the revit file later on and load lumion synced but from where you left off ?

Nice! You don't necessarily have to import your model in Lumion by the way, when you start live sync it imports it automatically I believe (when you have your file saved in SketchUp).

I have live sinked Sketch up to lumion then i added materials and saved then after that i have edited the sketch up and then live sinked again but i got the new live sinked image and all the materials i have added from lumion is gone how this problem cam be solved

Hey when i press for livesync (the play button) it says newer lumion version required--You need to have Lumion 8.3 or newer to start livesync.Are you interested in learning more about the current version of Lumion

A problem here.
If I place a new object in an already livesynced Sketchup, it does'nt show up in Lumion. It only shows the models that were present at the time of clicking the play button. I have to stop and play again to get the updates. Is this the case with all or just me?

Justin, what is the best way to replace elements from sketchup by lumion models but to have it exacly the same place as it was in sketchup let say like replacing trees or lighting pole .

hello everyone

i got a trouble on lumion 9.02
i am using sketchup 2018 and everything work fines before enter the "photo mode"
the camera and material both can synchronize between sketchup and lumion

However, if i enter the photo mode, and going back to 'edit mode', the live sync doesnt work
and needa re-sync the sktechup model and lumion

Is this only my problem or wt?

Hello. I have a Revit model that I imported into SketchUp to which I attributed materials. Then I downloaded the Lumion Live Sync extension and the link works, only I can't edit the model I imported from Revit to SketchUp, but only some parts that I did in SketchUp.
Can any of you tell me what the cause is and how do I fix it? Is this a problem with the Revit model?
