Xbox RUINED Its Relationship in Japan! Gaming News Update

It was revealed that xbox and microsoft have shut down 4 studios including Tango Gameworks (known for the game Hi Fi Rush) and Arkane Austin (recently know for their work on Redfall).

Tango gameworks was a Japanese based studio that was closed down during one of the biggest holidays in Japan: Golden Week. I think its safe to say Japanese game companies will never work with xbox again.

Game Pass is a subscription service as part of Xbox and offered by Microsoft Gaming. Launched on June 1, 2017, the service allows users to download and play video games for Xbox video game consoles or Microsoft Windows PCs from a rotating library, with the games remaining accessible as long as the user has an active subscription. Game Pass subscribers also receive discounts on purchases of games from the service's library and their respective downloadable content (DLC).

The service consists of two products; Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, Series X, and Series S consoles, and PC Game Pass for PCs running Windows 10 and Windows 11. Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass are available as separate subscription products. A premium tier known as Game Pass Ultimate includes access to both services, in addition to Xbox Cloud Gaming, an on-demand cloud gaming available on console, PC, and mobile platforms, and Xbox Game Pass Core subscription benefits.

The service features titles from first-party Microsoft Gaming subsidiaries Xbox Game Studios and ZeniMax Media, as well as other third-party publishers. Since January 2018, all new Xbox Game Studios titles have been available to Game Pass subscribers immediately upon their release. Microsoft has also offered access to Electronic Arts's EA Play service for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

This would be like a company closing a studio on Thanksgiving or even Christmas in the states.

Companies do not care anymore and then get all upset when the workers are leaving and have ZERO loyalty to said company. OK Boomer...

Nintendo went through a lot to localise the Famicom for Western Markets giving us the NES, Sega went through the same giving us the Megadrive/Genesis and the same with bringing the Sega Saturn over to countries like Korea and renaming it the Hi Saturn and the Victor V Saturn, and Nec did the same with the PC Engine giving us the TurboGrafx. But Xbox is like hey, lets just bring the Xbox over to Japan like ordering a product off of Yahoo Auctions. With little to no localisation whatsoever and barely any games to make up for it. X in Japan means no. This is what happens when you don't try. The Japanese are just going to see it as a console for western people. And hearing about this just shows that Xbox doesn't care about the Japanese and Asian markets to the point where they will do this.
