Guys I found something out! How to make spinning top WITH STRING:
step one, make the normal thing like in the vid but without the little stick

Step two, cut tiny grooves on one of each edge on the bottom (but close to the top otherwise it won’t work that well)

Step three, grab a wool string about half a meter long

How to play: put the begin of the string in the top (not in the center perse)
Wrap it around each groove 4 times. Wrap it around ur pinky and secure it (pinky to palm) throw it like in the show!

I did it! It took me some time but it spinned for 5 seconds, I think that is how long you need it to spin but I dunno.
