Larry Elder DEBUNKS FIve Lies About The Rich and Inequality

preview_player
Показать описание
There are five leftwing lies when it comes to wealth and inequality, according to economist Robert Tanner, although he calls them “myths.” Larry Elder lays them out one by one. For example, the first is “inequality has never been worse.” However, this doesn’t take into account progressive taxes and tax-payer funded benefits. Next, “the rich didn’t earn their money.” Not true, according to statistics. In the end, it’s clear that harming the wealthy doesn’t help the poor. It does the opposite.

After working for the government for many years, I don't trust the government as job creators. So many of the positions I saw around me were so purposeless and bureaucratic, and all of them overpaid and underworked.

The whole time my father was alive he talked about how the minimum wage made the country worse. Doing my own research, I agree wholeheartedly

My concern with the obscenely rich is not the privileged lives they personally live. My fears relate to the POWER that excessive wealth bestows on them and their ability to steal our freedoms and destroy our lives.

Wealth sure as heck doesn't come from the same place that poverty comes from. We truly reap what we sow.

I have said this before. Dear Larry, please run for President or maybe VP with Trump in 24. Then you would walk into the office in 28. You would be the best President in 100 yrs!

If you get free healthcare, free education, free transportation, free everything then what do you need $15 minimum wage for? Why do you even need a paycheck? If it's all free then can we stop paying taxes for it?

NO ONE should ever get “rich” through public service! That’s where corruption thrives! If they have a side-business that does not overlap their power in government - more power to them. BUT, the majority of these politicians NEVER had a job, except being a politician (which was intended as a separate ambition and for the RIGHT reason!). They need to get a job to support themselves and their family. Public service is only PART-TIME WORK! It’s an easy money-grab though!

Politicians screaming Income inequality, tax the rich! The same Politicians closing the small business creating unemployment and poverty for OUR SAFETY, but leaving the big corporations open for business. Poor people by design.

If more European politicians thought like Margaret Thatcher, Europe would be in a much better place. She probably was one of, if not THE best, prime ministers England ever had.

I'm not envious of the rich but the wealth of the wicked pisses me off. Notably politicians and I hate that all the Mom and Pop small businesses got destroyed and Amazonian types got exponentially bigger. 💔 Love you Larry 👍🏿

I'm 37 years old, grew up in a small Texas town. My dad's mother didn't even own a pair of shoes when his father knocked her up in high school. When my dad was growing up, they were one of three white families living in a black neighborhood (in the Jim Crow era everyone likes to bring up). The only difference between his family and their black neighbors was dad's family had running water. That's it! And my dad was the envious kid on the block because they had what he stable family life in a house filled with love and closeness (my paternal grandfather was an abusive monster if anyone wanted an explanation).
I don't know a single poor person today in this small town that doesn't have access to a vehicle, access to the internet, a cell phone, flat screen tv, and some type of gaming console, that doesn't have a closet full of clothes, and several pairs of shoes, or food in the refrigerator. I live at home with my mother and older sister because of a disability I was born with. Yeah, it sucks to not be financially independent with my own place, but I would take being "poor" today than the way my grandparents lived growing up any fucking day of the week.

Thomas Sowell found that in a 10 year period, 19% of the income earners move through the 1op 1%. I think it was in his book Discrimination and Disparities'.
