Broken hearted a year after I left my ex not knowing what I walking away from, and being unable to recover from, I come back here time to time and it’s always melancholy but it helps

Another amazing song and a beautiful performance. A Lennonesque song for the 21st century.

Still haven't learned how to clean a mirror properly. lol

On to happier things. Tonight my wife and I will be seeing Sir Paul McCartney live and in concert. A joyous time will be had by one and all.

Interesting story. We got to see him back in the day, but we only saw him for a few minutes. See my wife was pregnant at the time. 9 months pregnant. Overdue in fact. We had bought the tickets many months before the show and thought the little bugger would be out by then. That whole day I kept telling my wife not to worry about the show, there'd be other times, but she insisted we go. She wanted to see him as much as I. Everything was alright until be arrived at the stadium. She started to feel a little anxious being around such a big crowd of people. Again I said the show's not that important. But she insisted. (And if you've ever dealt with a pregnant woman you learn just to go with it. lol) We get to our seats. And just as the show starts she can't handle the anxiety anymore, and we, with the help of an usher, make our way out and down to some make shift medical facility. They check her out. She's okay. And we leave.

And now, almost 26 years to the day we are finally getting to see that concert that we missed all those years ago.

Update:

No words can truly describe it, but here's a few that come to mind; great, awesome, spectacular, funny, and just a beautiful all around experience. Slightly more than 3 hours of musical heaven. A little of the new, some Wings, some early solo, and a great mix of Beatles (John and George as well as his own.), from the very early days to Abby Road. If you get the chance to see him take it. You will not regret. As I thought it would be, a joyous time was had by all.

This is incredible! You are so multi- talented. Btw I downloaded your “HollyHobb” album this morning. I’ve had it playing in the car. I will sit down and give it a proper listen this evening. I
really like what I’ve heard so far. I’m getting quite a Beatlely vibe.

My goodness, you made some incredible chord choices in this song. Really really great work. I'd love to know more about your approach to borrowed chords/modal interchange, it's something I've been struggling to apply (in a way that doesn't sound forced and dissonant) for some time.
