Hi, I have a 407, just installed and primed following this video instructions (with the output nozzle above waterline)… once plugged in the filter makes a strong buzzing noise, I believe it’s air trapped, tried to rock it a bit but with no improvement… any suggestions?

A pair of related questions,
How do you know filter is fully primed?
And, is it harmful to have water in filter before priming, plugging? That method was suggested to me years ago by Petland for 06 series. It was my go to for years.

Why don't you show how to install on a Roma. I just had to butcher the lid on my brand new Roma 240 because the holes at the back are not big enough. A design fault?

great filters, own two of the 407 canister filters, also love the new led Bluetooth aquasky lights. the only thing fluval could change, include two bags of pre filter media, ior two more bags of biomax nstead of four bags of activated carbon, otherwise great product.

Good video, almost perfect, but it would have been most helpful to show the cutting of the hose and a bit more in depth on how much hose to leave for each side (for example do we cut the hose evenly or not?). That's an important step you left out and it is probably the most worrisome step.

I have one I loved it but all of the sudden it is leaking from the lid and I'm not sure why. It's sealed shut like usual. What can I do to fix it or do I need another one?

Thank you for that video instruction my husband was trying to set this up in the garage for our toilet and he couldn’t figure it out. He was embarrassed to look it up but I just said SUMBIT AND GET IT DONE. Anyways excellent video good job

If you have a canister filter (fluval or other brand) I would recommend replacing the carbon pouch with fluval biomax (or bio home) as it contains a large surface area for bacteria to grow which will help break down the ammonia in the tank to nitrate and nitrate to nitrate. In my opinion carbon is not needed unless you have treated your tank with chemicals for illness etc.

Just bought a 307 canister, i like to install a aeration tube to the output area to help with some bubble creation. Any suggestions to where it should be install? Or any particular brand that carry what i need? Thanks!

My fluval 307 is running and we had the output tube above the surface when priming and starting the filter. We now have it completely submerged. Should the output be submerged or above the water?

I just bought 307 canister filter for my triangular corner tank and 2 sides of my tank is covered with wall so I have to place it on one corner of front side now the problem is one hose of either intake (in) or outlet (out) has to be long compare to another so what should be the right position of placing hose and which hose I keep long and which one short plz suggest ...?
