I know roasting a Turkey can be intimidating, but trust me - it’s actually VERY easy! I love this brown butter herbed Turkey recipe - I make it for my family all the time and Turkey makes for the best leftovers (think the iconic moist maker sandwich) find the recipe below, enjoy xx
Brown Butter Herbed Roast Turkey
Ingredients
1 Turkey
2 sticks butter, softened
2 garlic cloves, grated
2 bunches rosemary, chopped
2 bunches sage, chopped
2 bunches parsley, chopped
2 bunches thyme
2 tbsp olive oil
1 lemon, halved
2 white onions, halved
salt & pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees. In a medium saucepan, brown butter over low-med heat and add in rosemary, sage, and thyme. Once butter is browned, set aside and remove from heat.
2. In a medium size bowl, add in a stick of softened butter and add in the rest of the chopped herbs and chopped parsley. Grate in garlic, add olive oil, salt & pepper. Mix together until combined. Strain brown butter and add just the browned butter to the mixture. Mix together until combined.
3. Remove giblets from turkey and add to roasting pan. Pat turkey dry with paper towel. Add butter mixture all over the turkey. Make sure to get in everywhere! Season cavity of the turkey with salt & pepper. Stuff cavity with leftover herbs, onions and lemon. Cover the wing tips with tin foil.
4. Roast in oven for 3 hours (or 30 mins per pound of turkey). Every 30 minutes, remove turkey from oven and brush the jus at the bottom of the pan all over the turkey.
5. Once fully cooked, remove from oven. Enjoy!
