I retired at age 53 and am now in my early 60s. Many people resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if you don't have to. I considered my life to be in phases. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." After I retired, I left the nation and now reside in Latin America.
