I've recently been watching Mary on Pyramid. She was a fabulous player who seemed genuinely overjoyed when she helped a contestant win serious money back in the day.

Three's a Crowd was actually considered for a second season - it held in the middle of the rankings. However, ABC only wanted 13 episodes as a trial. John Ritter would only commit to doing the show if it was for an entire season. Hence, ABC dropped Three's a Crowd and replaced it with the NBC-1985-cancelled DIff'rent Strokes. It was that show's final season with only 19 episodes.

Wow! How did the algorithm know I had a thing for Mary Cadorette? I was in high school back when 3's A Crowd was on the air. What happy, hopeful times those were.

When the Hartford Courant did an interview with Mary over a decade ago, she mostly talked about her dancing & dance school. She talked about her Hollywood career as a flash in the pan, and never mentioned THREE'S COMPANY nor THREE'S A CROWD. I also knew one of her nephews at one point.

her character on Three's Company was one of honesty and virtue which seems to be a reflection of her real life self

The British inspiration for Three's Company, Man About The House had a spin-off too; Robin's Nest. Robin, Jack's counterpart, gets married and opens a restaurant.
Yes, I would have to agree having Jack marry Janet would have had more people tuning in and saved a lot of introduction of a new character.

Ramblin Root Beer- ah yes, I remember those commercials well! I think every state had their own version of the jingle! The rock band singing along to the “Somethin’’ more” always cracked me up! Though I wasn’t into the Sugar Free Ramblin’, Mary had a charming smile! Glad she came home to her mother. Connecticut is beautiful during the fall!
Thanks for sharing, Dave!

Mary played the phenomenally funny Dee Dee Nelson on The Munsters Today 1987-1991 with John Schuck, Lee Meriwether, Howard Morton and Hilary Van Dyke. I loved her character on that show! So funny alongside her co-star Greg Mullavey.

Thanks for this! I did wonder whatever happened to her. Three's Company was (is) one of my favorite shows, and I liked Three's A Crowd, too.

I remember back then when they made the switch using both titles. I just wish more Three's Company characters had guest-starred on the spinoff. I can't recall if anyone besides Larry did though. Great video!

In that old Ramblin' Root Beer commercial....
if you blinked, you never saw Mary in the commercial; because she didn't appear until the last 5 or 10 seconds left in the commercial.

That old commercial was a long, long time do not even remember it, I am guessing it was on TV back in the mid or late 70s, way before 1984 when "Three's a Crowd" premiered and ended.
