Hello everyone! This week I covered Waiting On A Miracle from Encanto!

A friend asked me to record this for an animatic they were making (hence the lyric change on the third line) and I liked the song so much I decided to make a full cover. It's such a pretty song. I had a really nice time making it : )

A quick heads up (for anyone who reads the description), I'm going to be switching to bi-weekly uploads for a little while. I am very tired and need a break. I'll probably get back to weekly uploads later on in the year but for now, bi-weekly it is.

By the end of the film, Mirabel actually fulfilled the things she said she wanted to do in this song, whether directly or indirectly.

"I would move the mountains" Her outburst with Abuela caused the mountains surrounding the town to crack and shift.

"Make new trees and flowers grow" she did this by making Isabela realize that she was capable of creating so much more with her powers.

"I would heal what's broken" she found a way to heal what was broken with her family.

"Show this family something new" was best said in her All of You line "I think it's time you learn you're more than just your gift".

It's so sad that this song is underrated compared to the other ones, this has such a beautiful message and I wish it would be in the spotlight like every other songs from the movie.

It literally only occured to me now that Mirabelle end up doing all the things she wishes she could do in this song. Her actions end up moving the mountains, causing new flowers to grow, healing her family, and showing her family a new way forward. That's so cool!
