In 2020 a small group of Kiriri indigenous people in a semi-arid corner of
north eastern Brazil opened a cassava production facility with support from IFAD and the Government of Bahia.
It was an important step in a long journey that has included support to Kiriri efforts to reclaim their ancestral lands and rebuild their traditional way of life.
