First off, thank you for this video. These are the simple questions Oculus, then Facebook, then Meta won't help you with. Secondly, I'm so glad I stuck with the Oculus Go and didn't downgrade to the Quest. To sideload on the Go, I just plug it into my computer, hit the Allow access button through the Go, and then just drag and drop my files onto the Go via the Windows folder system. It REALLY STINKS that the Quest makes you jump through so many hoops to simply enjoy the content one creates themselves. I'm glad there is at least a way to do it on the Quest, but such bad business by these mega corporations keeps me from buying their products.

With skybox and dlna you don't need to put the video's on the quest, you can stream every movie on your pc to quest. Even 3d movies. I prefer 180 3d video's for quest(360 video's everyone seems to look like giants!) But since no company produce consumer friendly 180 3d camera's. The insta evo isn't available anymore! And with the skybox app(paid b.t.w.) you can turn with controller not only with your neck hehe(seems the only 360 app who does this(why?).

hi Ben! love the video, have a small problem though... after transferring via sidequest, the storage on the headset shows that something was saved to it. after I restart the headset, the storage is back to how it was before, therefore the file hasn't been saved. can't find it in the tv app as well. do I have to specifically save after moving the file into the folder on sidequest?

Don't need SideQuest. The Quest2 is an android device. Just drag and drop or copy/paste your files into the folders on PC or when plugged into a phone using a file manager.

Hey Ben! Long time viewer, great resource for 360 cams. Question - I can't view my Google Cardboard 3D panoramas or Street View 360 photos any more! They used to work perfectly in the photo viewer app before an update happened somewhere along the way. Now none of the apps (including TV) can view them properly any more. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks Ben!

I followed your tutorial and everything worked until the end. When I choose a location on my PC and I choose a location on my Oculus Quest 2 headset, i get "TRANSFER FAILED". Not working. I'm on a PC- windows 10. Don't know what to do next.

Question. I have the InstaOne Sphere that I am trying to use and learn how to upload. I wanted to try a short clip but the buzzing of the DJI Air2s rotors were very loud. Do you know of a why to remove sound from the Sphere while recording or how to remove it in post with stripping away the 360 feature of the video. I wanted to load it to facebook in 360, just with no sound.

Great video! Curious, do you have to buy a codec to view your videos because my computer won't play once exported & too choppy to view in the Insta studio. Just 1 video alone took about 10 minutes to export. Is there any other way to watch pictures and vireos on VR?

You don't need to go through all that, Just plug the quest 2 into the computer and drag the files to the movies folder.. No restart needed

Which one do you think would be the best camera to begin with, the Theta X or the Insta One x2??
And which one would be the next step up in quality, I mean, which camera should be the next one??

Howdy! Thanks so much for this... your video has gotten me almost the finish line. I am attempting to transfer MP4 from Mac to Meta Quest 2. Once I hit "transfer files" I get a "waiting.." message. It stays on for hours and no transfer occurs. All buttons are green in the app. Any ideas?
