One of my fondest memories is of walking out my aunt and uncle's front door, hearing my Dad belly laughing and seeing my uncle turn around giving me a grin, sitting on the hood of his Scamp. Thanks for sharing this.

So he pooches it off the line, hits the brakes at the end, and still runs in the tens LOL... Definitely a sandbagger hahaha beautiful Mopar :-)

I had a scamp when I turned 16 in 1975. I’d take my date to Sonic drive in and dang if that choke wouldn’t stick on that 318 and I’d have to pop the hood and stick a screwdriver in the carburetor to get it started. She stuck with me, but she always said “how embarrassing”.

Love that shade of it 1969 Mopar Brite Green Poly? That's the color I painted my '66 Charger many years ago....

If you listen just after he leaves the line you can hear the motor change pitch as the nitrous hits. Great looking great running car, the owner is s friend of mine and I actually bought the 8” converter the I put in my Rocky.

Ironically my car runs almost the identical times as his, but mine is all motor. It would go a bit quicker maybe low 10’s at 130 but I have to ease it out of the hole due to the short wheelbase and the MPH/top end etc is hampered by the Jeep-like aerodynamics. Love the converter tho, very consistent.

Beautiful car! I really like your choice of wheels & tires. Im mini-tubbing my 69 Dart right now and I'm planning on the same look you have. I'm narrowing the axle 3.5" on each side to allow for more backspacing and I hope to use 325 50 15 M/T drag radials.

Can you tell me how much you've narrowed your axle, and all of your wheel and tire sizes? It would take some of the guess work out for me.

Thanks!
Vince

I gotta say, cars were way cooler when I grew up in the 70's. And I own a 2004 STI, which is pretty cool.

So short shifts 1st gear, runs second out although it doesn't carry far enough and 3rd gear isn't tall enough....
I'm guessing here, that engine needs re-tuned. That motor doesn't carry enough RPM for that Cam.

Nice looking car. I just wish it could do that without nitrous.

Stunning car. I love everything about it. But let’s be honest, the 10.85 came with the back tires on the lights, not the fronts. “Technically”, this was not a true 10 second run.
