I'm in 12th. When I was in 10th I did lack the depth of clarity to sit with myself and think through. Even taking a 2 hours off feels like a guilt trip. I live with my parents. Obviously I realise I just went with what came along and yes it was necessary and out of all the choices, I chose what served me best intellectually. Now I really want to be a 100% true with my gifts and life. The dedication and concentration did develop me as a mind . Now I feel it's time to take the higher leap. Hopefully the universe guides me through. Earlier I thought it was escapism and romanticism to avoid labour. Truth is I am doing all of that. With an open heart. But now my whole heart says. Ab sach janle. 10 years from now I see myself being who i am lately i.e. joyful and dedicated. But not doing what I am doing. I wanted to prove soemthing to myself. And overtime, I did. Which would make sense only to me. Now, I just want to be honest.

When it comes to career, get away from what your parents, teachers, colleges, universities want you to do. By following just what you're told to do without questioning, you'll find success in life, but nothing more. Aim to achieve that sort of success where you'll never regret even a single day with what you're doing. Whether you set up an establishment for yourself, or work somewhere, it has to be exactly what you want, or at least, what you really want to do. Do not settle for anything lesser than that. Throughout all times, people have just been mimicking their benchmates and neighbours and the whole society is filled with repetitions and mimics. Don't be this. Do not ask someone else what to do with your life, this must be something which must be an inner understanding. Take time off in the woods, sit and stare at the elements. Sit and stare at them for long enough until it really reveals to you what is your real drive, temperament and future. If that's not done, you'll just get moulded by the society. And once you get moulded strong enough, you'll become a mould for your peers and offsprings as well. Get away from this. The human society can be unconsciously living its life. But to become conscious and take charge of your life in a joyful, content and a really bright way is in your hands. No one can help you on this but yourself.

If you can't find what you want to do, find what needs to be done. He said, "If you really want to be a genius in your life, you will do whatever is needed with absolute joy and involvement." Sometimes I feel like you have to follow what most people do especially school because you can't get wrong by choosing it. Second, if choosing career/job is the problem, try to at least be competitive about it. Choose a harder, more competitive degree over an easier one unless you have a pretty good reason not to. If you really can't choose one thing, try imagining yourself in both situations years from now, making sure that you'll never regret a day working on your degree. And lastly, just try. You'll find out more once you're there.

I once read a comment saying something like "if you want to make sure if you are unhappy about your job, look at your seniors and observe yourself in their shoes."

Saying all that still can't decide for my own. 😔
