This song is a special sort of sad when you realize that this is the exact opposite of how the character Toga feels about herself.

To her, this "Monster" you call her is her definition of her "Normal."

To her, the world is not her "normal" and as such, the world must change, so she doesn't have to.

It's both a selfish and desperate attempt at control that she never possessed in her childhood. And Ironically, it's her parents lack of sympathy and compassion for her precarious situation that set her on the path she would eventually walk.
