I definitely do not recommend placing soil on the cut. That’s a good way to introduce bacteria. It’s better for the area to dry and scab over.

My dear Juliette, I’m looking your videos since this weekend and I am overwhelmed of you. I was looking for some help with my Paradiesvogel. It was in a sad mood. All leaves where hanging and I didn’t get the reason. I start to repot it to give more stability. And so I found damage at the roots. White crumbs were sitting on the roots and little nests with white little eggs? I didn’t find a Insekt. Obviously it was too good hidden? Anyway I throw away all the soil and browse the root system to remove the remaining soil. Hopefully it was enough to destroy all nests. In a few weeks the bird can go back outside there conditions always be better.
By the way one tip from my side. If you cut a leave close to the soil, make sure, there is no new leave hiding! I cuttend yesterday the damaged leave and the new baby leave at once!

Don’t cut the top leaves… if they don’t have issues leave them. If it’s a space issue figure something out, or give/sell it to someone that has space for it. They can become big plants.

Don't do that! Allow tge new leave to mature before older leaf!!! Dont put dirt coz it creates problems!!!
