I'm a big fan of Samsung 👍. But the fact that they removed the headphone jack even on the mid-range phones is crazy. But I know how it feels like cus I just got the Galaxy S24+ 😢.

So far all that's available is the international version and it's $299. At that price in my opinion it's not a good value. Especially with Black Friday being a few weeks away. If the US releases it and we get good carrier deals or it's cheaper on Samsung's website for $199 then it would be a good budget phone.

I am a senior citizen, and I have started using a Bluetooth earpiece. It is incredibly comfortable.😃

It's unclear if the A16 5g will remain $199 or if Samsung will go up to $299. For $199 it'd be a great deal but at $299 theres too much competition with better options.

A sequel to any thing is rarely interesting to buy over the previous thing, especially if the latter only one year old. It's mainly a good thing if you're in need of a new phone and you don't want to brake the bank because you do not fancy anything expensive . I got the A16 4G in Europe (a specific choice I made because 5G isn't a must yet) and it's a great phone for the asking price. Maybe not the best for the money compared to similar offerings from other brands but certainly not a bad offer either . If you're into Samsung or you swear by this brand then it's certainly a go. If you're not hooked on one brand only then there is better (maybe not on the software support side but it's always a question if a budget chip-set will perform well enough in 6 years...not convinced it will but that's another discussion)

6 years good. But come on guys with these mediatek internals the A series phone cannot hardly run after 2 android updates. Smart move on Samsung part. The A15 5g has so much lagging now and apps slow opening. One more android update and it is going to be so slow

also the Galaxy A16 features a light up back light when you turn on flashlight, i think you missed out on that one feature

m35 is a better option than this. 120hz, more features overall like in gallery extra ai features, UHD 30fps, FHD+ 60fps, (whereas only FHD+ 30 fps maximum), 6000mah battery, smoother camera zoom transition (a16 doesnt even have a transition).

Even I'm using the galaxy m34 5g and its alot better than this phone. Ive used a16 for some days and got really disappointed...
I know m34's performance but still m35 fixes them.

Is the purpose of getting rid of the headphone jack to get consumers to buy Bluetooth headphones? I ended up getting wired Apple earpods. Nice try Samsung.
