I believe that Diamonds and Moisonites are nearly identical

I prefer the Diamond… the moissanite is a bit too disco-ball for me… I could see it’s rainbow brilliance complimenting birthday stone jewelry however, perhaps placed pavé in a multicolour sapphire piece for example.

Moissanite has a yellow hue and its very obvious when its put next to a colorless simulant like cz or a perfect diamond. If u know ur gems, it comes natural, and as yrs go by, the moissanite material is getting better!

Moissanite for me. We've placed too much value on Diamond 💎s in this country. Preferences depend on the individual. I love the rainbow effect of the moissanite, so I prefer the Moissanite. It's the second hardest compound next to a diamond at the fraction of the cost $.

The Moissy looks like a disco ball!!! IF you like rainbow flashes, & you don't want to spend a fortune on a diamond, this is a pretty option. But, wear it for what it is: NOT as a 'diamond substitute'.

To each their own, but I'm not a fan of the rainbow sparkle. Too much color and looks kinda kiddie-ish.

What are the specs of the diamond shown here?

Moissanite have yellow color to them. The clearest, whitest cut is the round anything other than that has yellow tint to it. Mine is a Charles & Colvard certified cushion cut and I sent it back numerous times because of color.. they told me they will never be as colorless as diamonds. I didn’t necessarily want colorless just no yellow. So be aware of that.

Please show comparison with equal grade stones. If not equal, then it's not a fair comparison. Moissanite is man made diamond, like Cubic Zirconia, so they will always come out flawless.
