I really like how Oris continues to make continuous advancements and this watch is an industry leader. I would buy this watch. The independence of the brand vs the "cheap Rolex" Tudor also adds to my decision.

I own the Selitta 200SW-1 calibre Oris Aquis 43.5 mm. with the titanium case and buckle - gray dial and gray rubber strap, black ceramic bezel - bought it new complete w/ box & papers on sale for $1271.00 all in. I love this watch. Weighs 93 grams total.

I think a better comparison stylewise would be the Aquis vs the Tudor Pelagos. The Aquis is a modern diver but the Black Bay is a vintage looking diver. The vintage fad has passed on me so I traded my BB58 yesterday for the new Aquis. It is my second Aquis and I just love the modern style.

I kinda liked the red rotar. Shame they didn't incorporate it.

Love the movement but oris aquis is too big for me but have a diver 65 and Tudor bb58, so this movement in smaller diver 65 and now we are talking

Great Video. Oris tempting but i would personally go SMP or Tudor if spending that much.

Oris Aquis 400 over the Tudor BB58 all day. In every objective comparison, it's a better watch. The only reason the BB58 is popular is because the brand is associated with Rolex and the Rolex stainless steel models are difficult to get, so people are hunting for Tudor instead.

Oris is not large enough to give me security of supporting a manufacturer caliber for 25+ years. I personally prefer and ETA or Selitta Movement with parts & service availability for the long run.
I can get a Prospex Diver with manufacturer caliber from Seiko for 1000k instead. This manufacturer Caliber hype is pointless. I would rather prefer standard lugs with the capability to use any strap i want on my dive watch.

EngineerWannabe had demonstrated a glitch with this new movement, where the hands jump when pulling out the crown. Until Oris addresses it, I wouldn't recommend buying it.

I have a caliber 400. The 10 year service and warrantee is well worth the extra $1000. It also looks very good.
