LAST NAZI SECRET the ATOM and SIII - SEASON 2 PREMIERE - the REACTOR and KAMMLER'S JONASTAL

The season 2 premiere of Last Nazi Secret, with new footage from a very special nuclear test site. We are going to the WW2 Gottow Nuclear reactor site and Kummersdorf proving grounds, where Kurt Dibners Nuclear reactor still stands and we preform readings and soil samples. I will cover the history of the German Nuclear program. And we will take a look at the adjacent rocket test stands also.

After we will go to one of the most important places in Jonastal project SIII tunnel system was built here by General Kammler and his engineer Fiebinger. This was the site of one of the German nuclear weapons tests, and again Dibner and the Army research command set up his shop right here.

But nothing here is as it seems, things have been hidden from us and historian George Ribienski will tell us the history and background of this top secret place, still a German off-limits proving grounds. We will cover the many witnesses and stories of this area where so much took place in secrecy.

And then things turned radioactive as I explored a tip sent me by a German expat.

Dear Tino, the one that exploded near the castle was a bomb of what they called "Göring's Pineapples" of conventional explosives but "dirty" with fissile elements. This test was made in front of Antonescu so that he would not desert. The one they took to the USA was the Zentner 76 which was the Little Boy, which was tested on the Island of Rügen, whose explosion was photographed by a British observation plane. That is why in 1948 Oppenheimer said that the Little Boy was not tested, because the Germans had already tested it.

That you could not measure radioactivity IN the reactor makes perfect sense.
The inside of the reactor was protected by the water !
You could actually SWIM in a active reactor pool without any harm.
Outside was no water, so the decaying reaction activated the soil.
That the pipe was oval also makes sense, because i think there was a big "indicator" (with a swimmer) outside the reactor showing the water level inside the reactor !
(Look at a old fever thermometer, the same oval form.)
The pipe was to small for draining the reactor water .... would have take hours and hours to drain the reactor with this small pipe.

Hi. Sehr interessant! Ich komme aus der Gegend von dort und es gibt ne Menge Dinge, die noch niemand weiß. Aktuell wohne ich in Kassel und 20 km von hier, ist die ehemalige Munitions Fabrik Hirschhagen. Viele Bunker stehen noch dort und ich glaube, dass es noch unterirdische Anlagen gibt, die noch niemand gefunden hat! Sehr spannend das alles.👍
