This film was so relatable, I remember going to see my first film in the cinema, and being transfixed by it, just like Sammy.

God this movie has a good screenplay, setting up the dichotomy between Sammy’s parents. Emotion vs analysis, right from the get go, and he’s torn between technical proficiency and storytelling.

As a child, I watched the movie "War of the Worlds" (2005), which left me both scared and inspired. It motivated me to create my own scenes using toy monsters and Lego mini-figures, and this eventually led me to pursue a career in filmmaking. Recently, I watched the movie The Fabelmans and it was fantastic. There was a scene where Summy recreated a scene from the movie that had inspired him, and it reminded me of my childhood and how much that movie had meant to me.

I enjoyed watching The Fablemans. I wanna make my own semi-autobiographical comedy movie based on my childhood and teenage years in the 2000's and 2010's.

That's CN #3254's old out of tone whistle at 2:06, 2:32, and 4:12. It's not only the most famous stock train whistle sound effect in all of media, but also one of my favorites as well. Also, 6:47 is Sierra Railway #3's whistle, the same one that was also used in Back to the Future Part III (1990) and most famously, The Polar Express (2004).

As a model railroader I wasn’t exactly thrilled with him crashing the train, that kind of train is almost impossible to find these days.

My first movie I saw in the theater was Cars 2, and I was only 2 years old. So not only is that film not good in my eyes, but I don't remember the theater at all. But I'll say that this was the first movie I saw after COVID had it's peak, and it became somewhat safe. It's truly inspiring and I really connect to Sammy so much.

I always liked smth since i first watched this that with a technician as a father and a pianist as a mother, Spielberg had a technically minded and an artistically minded parent. Ni wonder he became a filmmaker
