Steve Reeves placed 2nd in the 1948 Mr. Universe bodybuilding competition. Oscar Heidenstam encouraged Steve to compete in the Mr. World competition in Cannes, France. Oscar and Steve traveled together to France where Steve placed first in the Mr. World bodybuilding contest. This is the actual trophy and is now in my collection.

Another great video, Scott. Your pacing and descriptions are exceptional and informative. You're great with the video S/W as well. I could see you narrating and producing a long-form Reeves documentary in the future.

However, I would refrain from (or crop) photos with the imprint "stevereevesbiographycom". That imprint belongs to a person who has for sometime FALSELY promoted his biography as being authorized by Reeves. He has also, out of jealousy, made cruel and unnecessary personal attacks and false accusations (via social media) against Steve's good friend, George Helmer. As you know, George is one of the nicest, most trustworthy, and caring individuals any person could meet. It's no wonder Reeves thought so much of him and remembered him in his will.
