Thanks to all of my subscribers for following this series of videos. We're at the end now. I really appreciate all of your constructive comments and encouragement. Any ideas what I should record next?! Now the playlist is complete I wonder what your top five favourite of Op.60 are? For the record mine are (in no order) 3,16,22,24 and 25. Ask me next week though and I might have changed my mind!

This study is possibly intended as the finale to all 25 played in a live setting. It certainly includes most of the techniques covered in the other 24, scales, arpeggios, thirds, slurs, control, balance, phrasing
etc etc. It's a bit of a monster really!

Please thumbs up if you like it and don't forget to subscribe.

The guitar is Jean Noel Rohe 2009. The strings are D'addario Pro Arte mediums.

Take a look at the website above for video lessons, arrangements and more.

Wonderful. Very few guitarists can play this very difficult piece and you never hear it played. Thanks. You did a tremendous presentation of all of Op.60.

Ive started learning and almost have memorized. The most challenging piece I've encountered so far for both right and left hand. Truly amazing how you can play it so fast!

I've been working on this piece for 3 months. I pretty much had it down so I came to YouTube to see how other people played it. Ha. I had no idea it was so fast! Oh dear, what to do?😢

Brilliant! I have watched many of your videos. I don't care what anyone says, but in my eyes (and ears) your skill and performance level is right up there with the likes of Williams, Bream and Segovia. I enjoy listening to every piece you play. Outstanding.

I am on a quest to finish all the op. 60 etudes. So far, 6 down, 19 to go. Can’t wait to play the finale next year! I get a lot of motivation from watching your videos.

How wonderful the guitar literature can be! I'm so charmed by this! I think it's on a par with many of the piano sonatas of famous classical masters. A lot like Clementi or even the Bach children.

This exercise is a great workout for the 4th finger. Excellent series of demonstration of Carcassi’s mastery. We, as guitar students, get the most benefits out of it. Thanks for your dedication to the classical guitar.

Wonderful David! Thanks so much for this series. Carcassi Op.60 should be on every guitarist's music stand! Incidentally, the gorgeous #24 is my favourite. Huge thanks also for the Sor Op.6 and Op.29 studies.

This has been a great series of videos and much appreciated by many. I'm sure I am not the only one who would love to have a DVD recording of the whole series.

What i love is that this is a virtuoso piece grade 8/9 but you can hear all the elements that were previously covered in the opus....all put together...
Arpeggios
Slurs
"Tremelo"

It's really a work of genius this Opus.

This etude is quite underrated by the classical guitar community! This is definitely one of the most difficult guitar pieces to ever exist! It is as difficult as playing La Catedral by Barrios.

Awesome David. You continue to improve over the years I have listened to you. Long may you continue to play so beautifully.

Loved it!! The FIREWORKS!! The pyrotechnics!! Just showcases Carcassi's brilliancy!!

I've been working my way through opus 60 for years. This piece is the icing on the cupcake! I tried it once, but got bogged down in the difficulty of it. I figured better go back to the start and work my way logically and progressively toward the end.

Patience! Patience and persistence! The reward comes after patience and persistence is followed for years of dedicated work.

And when my inspiration lags, I come to this sterling performance, and I am re-energized.

Only thing I would suggest is PLEASE let us see the left hand throughout the entire piece. I want to see the left hand to see the fingerings. When the camera cuts away, the cameraman has FORGOTTEN us guitar students out here in Y'tube land.

We don't care for fancy shots. We just want to be able to watch the hands.
