Ukumaniacs Ukulele Gig - Heart Of The Valley Show 2024

Ukumaniacs performing at the Heart Of The Valley Show in Pontardawe, 7th September 2024.

This was second time playing at this show. It was a cloudy, miserable day with the odd shower but the Ukumaniacs still managed to enjoy the day. Sound is much better this year and we all thoroughly enjoyed the playing.

The Cwmtawe Brass Band also performed along with other artists and there was a great turn out of animals, festival stalls and events took place throughout the day.

Great performance guys, and nice video! It really was a good day, and the weather held up just fine. We are the vocal harmony group that makes a cameo in your video at around the 1:28 mark (singing Tennessee Whiskey). It looks like there were a lot of great acts performing that day on the main stage, and indeed dotted around the venue.

Brilliant Rachel it was great to everyone enjoying the show despite the weather and as always you and the girls were enjoying it also, you did manage to get a few twisters having a go ❤

I really enjoyed that even it was too short. I would like to see you all perform in person, but it is a bit of a trip from here on the wet coast of Canada. I do mean wet as it's pouring rain here on Vancouver Island. I always like hearing you singing about being proud to be Welsh; one of my favorites with your enthusiasm. Love the new shirts - in purple of course. Keep strummin', kids.

Ah the joys of the local show! We (Spa Strummers) played for a couple of years at a Warwickshire village annual show. We were in an open marquee at one end of the field. Half way through a song we could see smoke rising alarmingly from the chip van - collapse of song while our leader announced it over the PA! The fire brigade came to the rescue. (It gave me a song, mind, with a nod to Deep Purple!). Many thanks to Mr W for the filming. Laura

Hi Rachel enjoyed your video do you do the Flanders and Swan Hippopotamus song ( mud mud glorious mud ?) I thought it appropriate for green field festivals lol seriously though it's a great song that I've loved since a child I remember them performing it in the sixties that and I'm a Gnu, perhaps you could take up the Tuba or Sousaphone as you're a bass player? lol 🤣🤣🤣

Interesting to see ukulele performances at a non-uke event. Makes us feel a bit less insular 😊

What tablet holder is attached to the mic stands? Been trying to find one that works well with tablet cases.

Love this style of videos. It's so nice to feel like we're along for your adventures.

Also, would you consider making some merch with mini bass on it?
