i'm gonna go over some things:

Double Caesar is not just for show. If you open with Engraver and an awkward piece like Cerberus, those two can lead to combo. If you get to the point where you can link off Big Caesar (that you'll summon with the 2 engravers) and Cerberus for Gilgamesh, that leads to getting Gate, which leads you getting the last missing level 4. I've used this line of play a few times to unbrick my hands, and it's been clutch. I'm not saying 2 Caesars should be seen as standard, but it’s an option to have. there's no standard D/D FS list rn so people playing the deck rn are all on different ratios and deck count.

I cut D'Arc because you don’t need her much with Fiendsmith, and I also cut Eternal because there isn't much Tenpai like before. Even when I faced Tenpai, I won a lot of my duels against them without it. It feels nice to play without it anymore. I tried to keep D'Arc and Eternal at the start of the season, but after the FS pack dropped, I took them out of the deck. i was on double veiler at the start of the season and it worked fine but it took it out cause it wasn't as high impact as i would have hoped. i also tried moon and she comes up in 3 card combos going first but really shines when i go second, you don't need her rn but post lacrima, you might wanna add her if you plan on making a d/d fiend pile deck with fiendsmith and possibly aerial eater and friends.

49 cards seems odd, but it performed well for me. You can adjust the ratios and choices if you want to take my list and aren’t sure about the 49-card count. I played 3 Fuwaros because this format is pretty much a coin toss one, and it's hard to break Yubel FS and Azamina boards. You have to play big-impact hand traps to stop them from playing (things that skip turns like Maxx C, Fuwaros, and Droll). All of these are popular right now on ladder, and I wanted to add Droll to my list, but I'm still not sure about going over 50 cards. Fuwaros is also good discard fodder for Tract.

Although I don't like that the FS engine has no locks, I did enjoy playing them in the deck. However, I really like Lacrima more than Engraver because, in my opinion, having a free level 4 Fiend to Special Summon from the deck makes it so you can go into Small Caesar before going into Gilgamesh. This is important because it helps the deck play better into Imperm. She also sends an extra disruption to the grave (Fiendsmith in Paradise but you have to play desirae in the extra to make use of it). Lacrima also makes the Armor XYZ version better, so I hope they add her soon.

13:11 I’m sure y’all are thinking “Why did Imperm not work here?” Allow me to explain.
When a card receives any kind of effect, like a stat boost or a lingering effect negate, flipping the target face down after receiving an effect removes what was applied, as shown here. Flipping a monster face down in response to a target negate is a form of dodging, and any form of follow-up target negation will fizzle out once the flip applies, and the activated effect of the target will still resolve.
Edit: I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT HEAVY RAILGUN IN THE TENPAI MATCH! That just made my day Taro.
