Clawdeen WOLF Reboot Redesign

This was a lot of fun to make though Clawdeen wasn't my main favorite she was still the one I identified the most with growing up in fact I could say she was was the reason for my interest in fashion she was a character that felt real for me in a lot of ways and seeing what she's like now kinda sucks what was fun and unique about her is basically gone I mean we still have the dolls but its still kinda a let down

Finally a Clawdeen who actually looks like a werewolf. This is a pet peeve that I have with her since gen 1, she looks like a human with a painted dog nose and fangs

Why can't we ever just get a female character that's in love with fashion and is an amazing individual? (cough cough elle woods) Not Every main female character needs to be some geeky nerd that's a pick me souly bc...bc reasons?

(also if she's half human then, technically she can't transform back in forth anymore, she's stuck in...I guess "werewolf" form lol)

Honestly, looking at the character's clothes, I have the impression that the creators were afraid to experiment and play with colors. They all have one main color, just in different shades. It reminds me of how beginner artists are afraid that the character will be too colorful so they only use one color

Clawdeen has always been my favorite of the main cast, and the new Clawdeen just… doesn’t hit for me. like she was such a bad bitch and we LOVED her for that. and then they made her a weird version of og Frankie???

Screams fashionista, screams werewolf, screams strong and confident, screams freaky fierce 🤩 I also love that you gave her a tail, it totally makes sense, and I really appreciate it being like her hair and not just a regular wolf tail. It's so pretty with all the gold, I'd love to see this as an actual doll or 3D model 💜💚

the thing in the movie with there being a rule of "no humans allowed" could've made for some interesting plot if they'd pointed out that frankie is a reanimated human, cleo is human just extremely long-lived bc of magic mummifying process, etc.
they can keep clawdeen as is I guess (why not make it the "no humans thing" extend to bitten werewolves/vampires/etc? since they're assumed to be "too human") and have the main crew be trying to hide their human aspects
even draculaura's thing in G3 with being a witch can be related to that! (Edit: apparently her G1 backstory was that she was bitten to become a vampire so....)
(above all I still for the life of me can't understand why they shoved jackson/holt aside when the plot would've fit with him perfectly instead of Hyde JR plot twist)

I did see that Clawdeen had scars and I loved that because werewolves probably have the largest and longest claws, but also bug her siblings going "hey. remember the time-" it's great!

I think what I love the most about this is that it’s realistic in terms of a “monster high school student” I’ve seen many redesigns that give her a crop top or low cut shirts. Which is fine for out of school stuff, but she’s a teenager. Most high schools have dress codes that don’t allow it. While still out there and high fashion, it still feels like a teenager in high school with some monster edge. Amazing job! Its also flashy and fun without being gaudy which is a feat onto its own

With the werewolf glasses thing, I think the best solution is just that instead of some weird glasses designs, they just have to wear contacts, but I imagine monsters have cheaper glasses and contacts than we do lol. Or instead of typical stems, their glasses have an elastic band, like safety goggles, and they can wear them like that.

Clawdeen used to be such a powerful person, and it makes me genuinely upset how they changed her.
Theres not a character that i look up to now, clawdeen was queer, and this one im not sure, she’s annoying and i did love her and i feel strange how they changed her.

I'll never forgive G3 for taking Claw and Howleen (and Clawdia) out of Clawdeen's family like they were the perfect sibling rep.
Also the tail is the best idea for Clawdeen even if she's like "i was in the hoomon realm but i wanna be a momnsster" the tail would be one of the biggest pet peeves for it like it just confines you all nights to be alone you can't hang out with friends nor stay at their houses like YES THE TAIL 10/10
Also the hair I love how you dis the curls, they look so cute, and the purple is *chef's kiss*

The design they gave her now is the exact opposite of what I remember as a kid watching monster high
Your redesign really shows she someone to defend her friends and get into fights, and someone to let lose and go wild. I really liked her VA with her accent that matches your design perfectly 👌

OML I JUST SAW HER DESIGN AND GREEN AND PURPLE ARE JUST SO NICE. Nice use of complementary colors, and I love seeing her fierce again because it seems like they always make her so soft :/ (well in gen 3 and that one movie)

Edit: On a serious note, I think they made Clawdeen the protagonist to try and one up Disney. Basically this: “See! See! We’re better than you cause our protagonist is black!
