I'm about to pick up a set of these as we as the Trick PRO1-V when they become available to try out on a few songs while trying different adjustments to see what works the best.

If you don't like the giant footboards, the Derek Roddy version model has the normal Axis footbaords. Same 21 degree angle.

Well you did mention you'd post more videos on them, one request would be a video of you playing double strokes on them and maybe comment on the feel compared to the Demon Drives with that technique.

So do you still use them? I have big feet and use pretty much the same technique as you. Can you make a video of you doing doubles on them? That would be very very helpful.

I want to get a set of these but nobody in my country stocks them so I have to order them in, they will be very expensive in my currency including shipping, duty, insurance etc...basically add another 30% to retail so since I use an almost identical technique to you (yes I did learn it from you and a few others lol) I want to make sure as much as I can that these are suitable for me.

What's the feel like compared to an A? Obviously the A is incredibly light, I've heard the 21 feels a bit heavier and more like a traditional pedal in it's throw.

I hope that makes sense, I'm rubbish at wording questions like this properly.

Hey, I have been playing axis for about 2 to 3 years and I love them. I have an electronic kit i use for recording and I decided to buy new pedals so I dont have to keep taking off my axis from my acoustic kit to the electronic kit. I got the pearl direct demon drives and I'm somewhat disappointed and thinking of possibly staying with axis and getting these.I was curious, can having 2 different types of pedals mess up my foot playing and or confuse my feet. Thanks man!

Nice review! I am torn between the DEREK RODDY EDITION (similar to these w21 degree, microtune, triggers) and the GEORGE KOLLIAS EDITION. Main difference being the 21 degree #1 piece on the DR edition. I've been using the Old school Axis A shortboards since they came out '90 but always felt underpowered at speed (heels down). Then again, watching George play and looking at his signature pedals, I keep telling myself there's got to be a setting in there that will work for me heels down...

Switching from the A longboard to the A21, do you feel like you have given up some speed for consistency and power? And is it worth it? I am making the purchase tomorrow, so any advise is appreciated - Thanks!

Do you use the laser trigger system? Have you had any problems with axis? Ive been with trick and the dominator/pro1v for years. I've been wanting to see how the flow of axis is and if the trigger system is worth it.
