I have just finished Opus Magnum and I have to say it was one of the most fulfilling games I've ever played. Looking forward to playing the other games by Zachtronics.

Funnily enough, I think the first Zachtronics game I played was actually Last Call, as I found it on gamepass and thought it looked interesting. That said, it did provide me with a solid introduction to what Zachtronics had to offer while being MUCH more digestible. You get stumped, you can go somewhere else while digesting the problem. You get bored with something, you have other entirely different experiences to play. You can fully unload your brain with the solitaire variants or Steel Force studio. I think its variety and more bite sized nature makes tackling the harder challenges feel more approachable than they otherwise would be. It made a good first impression, anyhow.

this video's quality deserves way more views than 1.8k

A little fun side-game I made for myself in Infinifactory is to maximize the footprint with concrete blocks. I tell myself it's to waste my kidnapper's resources, but it's also kind of fun to just walk through my completed factory and get all of the spaghetti hidden behind walls and seeing it neatly organized.

No worries, spinny orb game is hard on multiple levels since most of the time, we tend not to think in circles.

I'm so jealous of people that got the official exapunks zines.

Personally, I started with Opus Magnum and then jumped to TIS-100. This worked surprisingly well, and I managed to get the hang of TIS-100 even though I'm not much of a programmer. Devilishly difficult stuff, but a rewarding experience nonetheless. And at the moment, I'm trying to work my way through Last Call BBS. Zachtronics definitely deserves more attention!

These games are difficult (at least for me!) but so satisfying. Even though I almost always end up at the end of the histogram (or not qualifying at all), just solving a puzzle alone feels very satisfying.

I discovered it today too, but apparently Zach Barth is on a company called Coincidence now and they announced a new game that's very zach-like, Kaizen: A Factory Story

I have really enjoyed these games, however, since I program in my day job, it just feels too much like work when the complexity gets over a certain threshold.

Not sure who did it first but another youtuber covered the same exact thing, not sure if it was stealing or just a coincidence :/
