There does not appear to be any relevant gauges currently in operation. In the Historical Hydrometric Data Search there is the
Station LARDER RIVER ABOVE RAVEN LAKE (02JC010) which was in operation from 1981 to 1991.

We did this trip over thirty years ago with our 4 and 6 year old kids July or August . I don't recall water levels being an issue .We paddled down to Windigo where we spent a few days then paddled back up I only remember lining the canoe once ., but time has affected my memory .Most memorable was meeting an other couple with kids . It was her first time fishing . She had just caught a 30 lb pike in the small lake just above Lake Windigo . They lifted the stringer out of the water and my 4 year old son just blanched and refused to swim for the remainder of the trip.

Great stuff! The Larder is a great river to paddle. The Jeffs Temagami map has included it in their coverage. Best to find a digital copy as the current company will only scam monies as it is no longer operated by Jeff.
