I had a brief association with the club in the early 80’s. Even back then the modeling was superb. They would acquire pictures of the area they wanted to model and try to recreate it to the smallest detail. At that time they had a very realistic and plausible albeit compressed model of the Georgetown Loop among other scenes. The projected layout at the time was very ambitious and never got fully realized. The club was in an upstairs floor in Pasadena and they were forced to dismantle the layout and move. After that I lost track of the club. So glad to see that they are still in existence and the modeling is as wonderful as ever.

Love this much better than the city scapes with all the busyness.

I was a member of the Guild from 1995 until 2020 when I moved back to Texas. I really miss it, thanks for the memories. When I first joined I was working on the HO/HOn3 side, then I gradually moved over to the S/Sn3 side. Early on the Sn3 side needed a lot of plaster work, I think we must have used a ton of plaster on those mountains. Remember this building used to be the old China Factory where they made porcelain figures and they used a LOT of plaster, so we had a lot of bags left over.

Wow! Everything I love in a model, mountain vistas, large timber structures and smaller old time trains, each with its own character. Just a wonderful layout.

I hope that there will be day that all of this will be expanded on or tell a story of what everything that you see here will tell that story of the past. In an engineering view point of how everything was built. As I would love to help with this, because I know of many things of the past. Love this vid to no end.

I like that you take the time to show scenery and structures along the way. Some just follow trains and skip the surrounding area.

Great video. I love how your show all the beautiful work these folks do. Not just pass it by following the train. On other channels I'm so often, "Wait. What! Go back I want to see that!" Nice job

Very nicely done. I love that kinda rock work and color. Reminds me of Richard Bourgerie HO The Timberline Railroad.
Well done. 😊
