Some DOGE staffers are drawing six-figure government salaries, according to WIRED. Senior writer at WIRED Kate Knibbs joins Ana Cabrera to share her reporting, saying that they are taking home “robust” pay while using slash and burn tactics on federal workers.

That's not fair. As federal employees, they should be treated like any other employee. These 20 year-olds should start as GS-7's - which according to OPM is currently $42, 679. Depending on locality pay, they should be getting $57, 164 max for the DC area.

There is no way a 19-20 year old would normally be able to make that much money on the GS pay scale. That amount would only be possible with years and years of experience in their profession and years of supervising experience of managing a large amount of people.
