Matty amazing to see how far you've come and advanced past your injuries. Couldn't more more proud to say I'm one of your supporters, as always grinding and killin it!

You know man, this is why I love this channel. You inspire me to only push harder and harder no matter how much shit you go through. I tore my lowerback muscle almost 3 years ago and it still hurts to this day cause it healed in the wrong place and theres nothing I can do about it. Stopped deadlifting for almost a year cause of it and I finally started doing so again after you made a previous video that made me start deadlifting again. Could only pull 180lbs for as my one rep max. Few months passed and I finally reached my goal of 225lbs and now im pulling 315lbs for triples. And I only hope I will get stronger with the motivation from this channel and You.

Happy to say I've been following your journey for over 3 years and seen you come back from all those injuries, well done Matty! :)

Yes Matty that was so inspirational especially after all your lower back problems! I really do admire you Matty cause a lot of the people on YouTube always have to workout alongside either as big as them if not bigger, but you, you train just alongside and with members of the public and are so pleasant to them. No sense of arrogance whatsoever :)

Got diagnosed with one herniated disc and one bulging disc in my lumbar little over a year ago. It's been a struggle to say the least. I too am now stronger than I was before it happened. These things can happen to anyone, but like Ogus said in one of his latest videos: form is everything. Perfect your technique on every lift. Make sure every rep is as flawless as you can make it. Today I got reminded of this again, as I slightly tweaked my lower back when squatting.
Some of us are so passionate about the gym, we're gonna be in for the long run, hopefully till we die. Let's make it so we can keep doing this for as long as we want, and not be crippled by age 30 (or older for the older folks here) because we were too lazy and complacent to master the movements.

Damn I know that feeling. I herniated 3 discs in my lumbar spine last year just like you did, and it didn't take me as long as you to recover, but I know how good that feeling is when you hit that 500 mark. Especially knowing that you are healthy after the struggles of the injury that basically sidelines you from doing what you love for over a year. Congrats Matty

This is the most inspirational video I've ever watched! Thank you so much for this!!! Suffering from lower back pain myself, I know that it can have a massive impact on your workouts. You give me the motivation to keep pushing in the gym Matty. Congrats on your PR.

Matty this was a big inspiration. I found out 6 months ago about a herniated disc in my L5 S1 and haven't been able to do much deadlifting since...I'm actually just slowly getting back into it. Hopefully, I can start pulling those kinds of numbers again soon. Good work man!

11 years ago almost to the day, I was crushed at work breaking all my ribs, both shoulders, collar bones tearing muscles and tendons ... Pretty screwed up with chronic back pain, and for 11 years I have let it beat me and live in fear of fitness, until now! this video Matty, out of every single one I've watched from you, just hit me right in the feels dude, you never gave up even with your chronic pain you didn't let it win! So I'm just about to step in the car to head to the gym to sign up, if some day I earn enough, I will sign up for your programme, but for now I'll just take some free inspiration from you.

Thanks

(P.S have a great wedding and make sure to record it, as you will forget and it goes over like a blur!)
