When I put them on the counter, the clerk, a young white girl, gave me a strange look. I said to her, Black people do listen to country music.

You don't realize how powerful this song is until you learn it. Because it was in my vocal range the band decided I should sing it. I play bass. So, I went about the process of nailing it. Lemme tell you the song comes at you like blunt force trauma. Because it's my profession I know a shttonne of songs. This is one of my favorites because when it's done right it never fails to get 'em on the dance floor. It's a perfect song.

Saw Dwight in Summer of 2016. He and his band wrapped the show with this track and all of them put on their rhinestone suits and they had the disco balls everywhere and lights just going haywire. It was some kind of guitar tent revival pyro concoction! They seemed to jam on this track for 20 min while it seemed like some kind of giant fuse was exploding on stage. It was a small show of maybe 2, 500 people at Maymont park in Richmond, VA... yet he still blew the tent off the place! It beat all the stadium shows I have seen in my life and cost me $30. Dwight is the king!!
