Annie Khan Team!?

Ok I was not expecting that this morning! This is an unusual but amazing team that's come together in Annie Thorisdottir, Khan Porter, Lauren Fisher and Tola Morakinyo for the 2022 CrossFit Games. Can they beat Rich Fronings CrossFit Mayhem team?

If Team Rejykjavik is going to be a success and a success within 1-3 years, Annie must have identified something really unique in Lauren and Tola that the world hasn't detected so far. In all honesty, I even doubt that Khan can deliver podium efforts in a team, but I would love to be wrong, because I love the guy. Podium potential for Team Rejykjavik had been more realistic with Annie picking some young and hungry less known athletes who would make this journey to break into the Games tier - silent assassins. This move by Annie also indicates to me that she hit a "glass ceiling" with her podium spots at the Games and Rogue; she assessed that she can't win as an individual.

I can't see them beating Mayhem. It would be nice to see if Lauren had been placing higher. I thought she would join the team on TTT after leaving San Diego, so this is definitely surprising

I agree I’m sad to see Annie go team right when gaining so much momentum. I really wanted to see her push Tia this year. Still love her and hope their team does great!

100% weak move from Annie, especially after she called out Tia and said shes beatable. If its for family reasons then cool, but say that. She hasnt.
