Here's EVERYTHING a LOTUS EMIRA Owner Needs to Know!

Join me for a full tour of my brand new Lotus Emira First Edition! From the background to infotainment, via how you access the battery compartment, what's in the front compartment, and the things I've learned about it from my first few hundred miles!

Having recently taken delivery of the Lotus Emira that I ordered over 2 years prior, it's time to explore it in full after driving the first 400 miles or so. I paid for the factory collection experience for £199 meaning I got the full induction tour in the hands of Scott Walker and the team, and now it's time to share some of that with you. The Emira has been hugely anticipated and arrives with great hype, but let's find out everything about it that a perspective owner might wish to know.

Starting with a bit of background about Lotus Cars as they now enter their 75th anniversary year, but a walkaround of the Emira itself. Next we're into the interior and the spec of my car in particular before diving more closely to the extra details like the luggage storage space and most notably what's actually under the front of the car.

Thanks for watching, Tim

Hi Tim another Lotus employee here I just wanted to make you aware of something you didn’t mention but probably weren’t even aware of. The small cubby for your phone under the HVAC controls actually has a hole at the back right to pass your charging cable through to the lower USB.

Wow a glowing review, Tim! As a Lotus employee it makes me so happy to see this reaction to the car. It has been a difficult year with lots of issues and everyone has been working so hard in the factory to get these cars out with high quality.

It always blows me away how you do these long barley edited talking videos with almost no cuts. Most people have cuts every few seconds from messing up words or stuttering. Your confidence and fluency in front of the camera sets you apart from anybody else in the field. Massive respect Tim. Thanks for all of the amazing content.

The 1st 36 minutes was one take. Tim is such a legend. About the car. I might go so far as to say it’s the car of the year. It seems pretty much perfect.

I’m not a fan of yellow, but this looks fantastic: The contrast with the black, the silver wheels…. I would not have thought to order it that way, but it really is gorgeous. Congrats on the acquisition!

That flew by… thanks for sharing, as a Cayman owner looking on its really interesting to hear about and see the Emira in the details you are sharing. Lotus should run this video in their dealerships as an introduction to and why you should buy the Emira!!

Tim, thank you so much for taking the time to open the front hood. No one else did bother to open it up to show us. I'm still a bit confused by how it works with air flow coming in the front hood from the nose. Guess I will have to study the shape of internal front hood & see if it makes sense. Thank you again, Tim.

You continue to lead the path in what you do! As usual you cover everything in great detail at the same time manage to keep it very entertaining. Your mentality and hard work is admirable.

Another incredibly informative tour of what is likely to be one of the best sports / mid engined cars of 22 / 23. Great to hear the little things that you think may need to be improved in the future too. Love these in-depth walk throughs and would love to see more on future Shmeemobiles. Thanks again!

Brilliant video, it's such an awesome spec'd Emira!
An interesting fact. (was told a while ago so hopefully someone can correct me with bits) Roger Becker the engineering director at lotus made sure all the cars had that awesome curve from the lights to the mirror. It's design is not just aesthetic, it's called the Becker curve (or something similar)
Maybe ask someone at lotus next time you're at Hethal. It's stories like this that just adds to the experience of lotus ownership. Thankyou for putting together this video 👏

Scott Walker, a true gentleman… Bought my Elise from him when he had his own business 9/10 years ago… so glad to hear he is where he should be at Lotus!

I’ve been honored to have owned a lotus Elise for a few years. Been one of my more favorite cars.
I have experienced a few really fun things with it. Raced it quite a bit, but the most fun would have to be taking a lotus to a car meet here in Kentucky.
Whispers of “look there’s a Ferrari”, or questions of is this a kit car, or “what is that thang?”
