If you are planning to spend your holidays in the Arcachon Bay area (Arcachon, Andernos, Cap Ferret), be extremely cautious: the representative of the French State has just authorized the discharge of wastewater (fecal matter and sewage) into the Arcachon Bay. This poses a serious health risk to you and your loved ones, particularly due to bacterial infections (such as enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli—EHEC). In the event that you are affected, the decree issued by the Prefect of Gironde will prevent any legal action against State representatives or local elected officials.
