Backing up my data to a second computer, my roommate's NAS, burning to BD-R, and in the process of uploading (encrypted in .7z files) to Amazon Cloud Storage. Currently saving approximately 300gigs of data.

I love the comments saying "I'll use my own server for my storage" whilst completely missing the point of off site storage.
What happens when some form of natural disaster strikes? Gather around,  Let me tell you a story.

I have a pretty beefy home server,  4690k, 8gb ram, Raid1 1tb Lightning hit the Satellite in my house which destroyed it all.  Most of it anyway.  You can yell surge protectors all you like, but every link in the chain had one.  From then on, I rent 100gb of cloud storage from Google for Important stuff,  pictures, Coding projects etc and have another 2TB on my new server for mass data storage.

since i'm currently in school  i find that google drive is extremely useful and use it often, im hoping that in time the price for the cloud keeps getting lower and lower due to the attempts by companys to compete with each other

60 dollars a year seems pretty good for backing up all my data. i might want to go for some other package for only a few gigabytes though considering i do not have alot to back up.

I am a big fan of physical media backup. But once all my stuff got stolen from a house and it was my online storage that saved me. Take it from me, kids, multiple locations is key.

Cloud storage is useful sometimes, but other than those times I prefer physical media too.

I keep my cloud in my room with a proper raid setup. It just feels safer in my opinion.

All my data is around 3 or 4 Tb, i prefer having it on my computer or in a NAS at home.

This Amazon Cloud Storage is a cool idea, but after joining this unlimited package I've found out that all files have to be 2GB or less to upload. So there is still a "limit" on it. It might but something you'd want but buyer beware.

I have a 3.9 gb dropbox account, and i don't realy need more space.
I store much of my important non important files, useful files i want to keep, and a bunch of crap.

Only store stuff that I afford to loose on the cloud, the rest on local storage, planning for a second backup :D
