The concentration that must take is astounding.

Jenson Button would be very proud, of both the driving from Marco, and the call to go to slicks that early.

Simply driving around with such a powerful car with the absolutely wrong tyres for the conditions without crashing takes titanium balls and godlike skills.

F1 fan here! Ever since Alonso failed to qualify in Indy 500, I've been intrigued with the series ever since! Great racing!

He must have struggled to get out of the car after that. With his massive balls.

was still pushing into the corners too,
I would have just hit pause and re-started the session

Whenever i see a rude comment about how Marco should "go home", or how "he is there just for the name", i'll direct them to this.

Remember this race VERY WELL, an was astounded at his performance! He was the first one out on slicks and weathered those conditions masterfully to make up ground through the field. But then race control totally screwed him over on a shuffle back through the field after that masterful performance. Marco has taken alot of harsh criticism over the years, but it's in times like these that show his true capabilities behind the wheel.

What amazes me is the control he has on the straights. When the condition are as far away from light rain as they are from downpour, you're stuck in the middle with an unpredictable result and it really shows what you can and you cannot do on a regular basis. He seems to have no struggle with the wheel and even when he has he corrects it immediately. You would think he's come straight off of years of F1.

Andretti is the kind of driver you would want to drive first on a track like Belle Isle when whet, so he can race the perfect racing line dry first for you to follow. So massively skilled.

Belle Isle Detroit Racetrack does not allow for even the slightest margin of error. Tremendous racing skill on display here. Always highly exciting to watch IndyCar especially around tracks such as Belle Isle Detroit.

That’s some of the finest car control I’ve ever seen from any driver from any series.
