As someone that work at Chick-fil-A in college, your description was pretty much spot on. And I was predominantly the sole Chicken Breader and Chicken Dropper during the crunch hours. It was essentially like working at Amazon. As soon as there was a lul, you had to clean and prep the kitchen for the next rush of people.

"this looks like the maxipad of phones" that was so fitting.

EX-Chick fil a fry cook here. Our mangers had us break so many protocols, just so that we could keep up with demand. But whats is crazy, is anytime the GM came back there, we would be the ones that got thrown under the bus. But you know, you can't cook two school's catering orders of 1200 (total) biscuits with only three fryers while maintaining other orders and still meet the proper food safety conditions. That particular store was really bad, but still I would ask for a plain fryed breast, that way you know it was just cooked and it should only add additional 4 minutes to ur wait.

They have been building the wall. It's actually a combination of wall and fencing depending where on the border. Some places you can get by with good fencing to keep those on foot from getting through and other places a wall is needed to prevent crossing by offroad vehicle, etc. They've gotten decent amount done and IIRC, they should be finished in like 3 or 4 months or something like that.

@Level1Techs, you should watch some of the conference videos from the tech people at Chic-fil-a. They basically run a huge server cluster at every chic-fil-a so they can collect tons of data and use it to constantly improve that store.

Nvidia had to guarantee to the UK gov he will keep ARM in the UK to avoid them stopping the sale. Existing agreement still in effect.

Post office will be fine. Christmas happens once a year with many more letters and packages than an election. For instance in 2015 they sent 15 BILLION pieces of holiday mail.

The Amazon thing just happened here. New distribution center closer to our rural home... haven’t seen the UPS guy in a long time now. Just Amazon drivers. Orders also arrive in a day vs two. (Shrug...)

They have two huge amazon warehouses around me. One just opened the other one has been around 4 years. Funny thing is there is a huge ups Warehouse three miles down the street . Lots of jobs for people if they are okey with 12 to $18 a hour

I've had many arguments with people I've always recommended an 850 watt power supply they called me an idiot, now with 300 watt Intel CPU and 400 watt overclocked Nvidia GPU's they are screwed. I'm fine with my 1200 watt PSU : )

I would have a hard time believing Amazon drivers being worse than UPS (Unreliable Parcel Service) drivers. We use to only UPS when the clients insisted and often they wrecked what we shipped. They completely mangled a telco rack we shipped on time.

Amazon is almost one of the Borderlands Corporations.

Please start mentioning how much we subsidize amazon with tax dollars due to the lobbying and corruption their executives use to snuff competition. Also what are the problems wiith the M&A regulations that allow tech companies to monopolize so easily? could this be a result of that whole microsoft scandal going nowhere?

It's bad enough to have to fix a phone that got dropped in the toilet, now there's going to be phones that was used a maxi pad all day, yuck! :)

Speaking from experience, Amazon drivers are treated like trash if the people above them don't have a high opinion of them.
