One does not get a free pass for inciting an insurrectionist coup two weeks before the end of one's term.

If the GOP still cannot see the danger Donald Trump presents, then God help America, because they will need it.

The Rally permit specifically stated there was to be no march to the Capitol. The group did not have a permit to march, so when Trump asked, them, urged them, cajoled them to march on the Capitol, he was breaking the law and violating the permit that had been issued. The fact that WH aids had discussed "the march" before Jan 6th meant that he had every intention of sending them to the Capitol despite the permit.

Imagine when your only argument is that you’re not president anymore.

I was looking forward to Trump defending himself. That would have been comedy gold.

Since the insurrection happened while Trump was President, I see no legal problem with moving forward with the trial. It is time the Republican Party take responsibility for supporting every despicable thing this man did.

I thank god I`m not American, in America it doesn`t matter whether you`re guilty of a crime!! what matters is, which lawyers you can afford, they determine whether you go to prison or not-that`s despicable!

"It was reported last week that Donald Trump’s impeachment legal team fell apart days before the trial is due to begin over fears that the ex-president would force them to keep peddling his ridiculous election conspiracy theories."

It’s negligent in the fact that a President should know who he’s sending and if their were protesting permits, etc. So I believe he negligent at minimum.
