I just realized the reason Alex acted so manipulative and immarturely was bcuz he was afraid.

In the first days, Alex said smth abt his parents leaving and stuff. Meaning Alex was afraid of not to the public, but to his parents.

His parents went away for a trip and stuff, so, that means he has some family problems going on.

But its just a theory...
