Halle is a city in central Germany. Opposite its 16th-century church Marktkirche Unser Lieben Frauen is the Roter Turm, a landmark Gothic bell tower. The Händel-Haus is the former home of the famed baroque composer, with exhibits on his life and music. Oh wie schön, dass du in Halle (Saale) unterwegs warst! 😍 Wir waren dort auch vor kurzem, um einige Attraktionen auf ihre Barrierefreiheit zu testen – war richtig spannend zu sehen, was schon super funktioniert und wo es noch Nachbesserungsbedarf gibt. 🙂

Nice to see a German city that still its pre-WW2 old city center intact. The Americans made a deal with the mayor that they would not shell the city if the Germans did not fire on the incoming Americans. Mostly there was compliance except for a few snipers, and the city was spared.
