400 hp is plenty with anything 4000lbs and under...now if your car is sub 3000 lbs 400 hp is near super car fast...

I'd like to think it as a Fun RPM.
It is a range where you feel the noise vibration and power. If it starts at 4000 and red lines at 8000 then you get 4000 worth of fun.
If it starts down low at like 2 and ends at 6 then you still get the same range of fun.
Thats why LS is so popular.

Totally agree with Everyday Drivers on this one. Individual stats are not useful. It is how well the car drives overall and how well it matches with the type of driving you do and the type of driver you are.

I have a 2020 wrx and it's the most fun car I've had so far. Just bought an sc430 and so far loving it but it doesn't deliver the light sportiness I'm looking for so in the future I'll be getting an mr2 spyder

I was with you on the 400 hp kind of but the 6800 statement of who cares how high it can Rev is something I can't agree with. It's not bad but higher revs are always better

I drive a 2nd gen brz. If 220hp is enough, 400hp is more than enough. These people who complain about that don't really understand cars
