Brand new Rivian transported from North Carolina for me to perform paintless dent removal. The customer was told by the only certified shop near him that the repair would require a bedside replacement which was quoted around $40k. Insurance wanted to TOTAL this vehicle due to the high cost of repair. The customer did his research and ultimately referred to me to perform this repair.
These vehicle are very difficult to work on due to the limited access to the backside of the damage. We were able to repair the dent using paintless dent removal and maintain the factory parts and finish, as well as prevent a stain on the carfax. We had the vehicle in our possession for 3 days, which is a way better cycle time, than it sitting in a body shop for possibly a month or more.
This is my 25th year doing paintless dent removal and the extent of damage we can repair now, paired with the new tools, makes us a first repair choice for damage like this. Do your research and find a qualified dent repair shop. Thanks to our customer for trusting us with your vehicle.

The reason he got a $41K estimate is because the repair shop didn't want to do it in the first place.

That’s not a repair, that’s a work of art.

I did PDR every day for 12 years, and I did a lot of big/complicated dents. None of them were near this hard. There were so many dealbreakers with this damage that would stop someone from attempting it. Great job at continuing to refine it to that level of completeness!

That was legitimately the BEST work I have ever seen done with PDR... I cannot believe how flawless you got that dent out, even in the video where you say there are two spots I cannot even see them. You guys have to be the best in the nation and even possibly the world at this dent removal method.

Dude, I love the honesty about the imperfections in the end. The thing is, it probably CAN'T be done better. This is seriously impressive top level work but the honesty about it sends it to yet another level.

Didn't think that degree of damage could be hammered out with this degree of success, especially that crease in the tail light corner area. Impressive.

Convinced me to not buy a Rivian. A minor fender bender = $41K to repair?! And don’t think your local “paint less dent removal guy” will be able to fix this. These guys are experts. You’d have to send the car to them.

Ive owned a body shop for 26 years and been doing body repair for 35 years, I have a PDR guy who comes in for hail repair and sometimes on larger dents that we come behind him and do finish repair and repaint. These guys are impressive, its really an art form, knowing how to do that. Having said that the repair in this video is over the top.

I went to school for PDR, but found it hard to fix certain situations. The pros make it look easy, but those creases you showed us are super tough. Your work is amazing!

I'm a body technician in Australia and this is impressive and has to be the way of the future. Cars are getting harder and harder to repair conventionally and as you said it can be very intrusive and not the best option for the car. We need to rethink how we do things with electric vehicles and different metals being used now its not straight forward anymore. Fantastic job saving that panel, amazing to watch you work.

It’s nice to see someone who actually has skills to fix things. It’s so rare nowadays to find anyone who actually has the technical skills and actually cares about doing great work.

This man is the metal whisperer! I own a R1T and if it ever gets hit I am sending it to Matt! I will post your video on the Rivian forums!

I was a body man back in the day when cars were made of steel and you had to have the skill set to actually work the metal back into shape. I’m very happy to see that it’s not a lost art. Great work my friend!
