Dallas man accused of killing neighbor over loud music

The suspect told police during an interview the family next door often played loud music, and “they were interfering with his life." But the neighboring family says they’ve been living in fear for the last year.

The entire neighborhood was being disturbed by that family's endless wild partying. Most people have jobs and need to get a good night's rest so that they can safely perform their work in the morning. These people are pathetic with their lack of concern for the livelihood of others. People could lose their health and sanity over loud music playing nonstop. After so much torture, how long before someone finally snaps?

The headline under the video is wrong. He didn't kill his neighbor over loud music, he killed his neighbor in self defense after the neighbor attacked him.

I have a neighbor who cranks his music up to full capacity every Friday and Saturday night. I can’t hear my own television, he plays it to 1-2:00 in the morning. No one will do anything. I’m afraid if I say anything I’ll be hurt… it’s really ridiculous people can’t be at peace in their own home

I'd say this was a breaking poiint for the neighbour. A six year old's party still going on at 1am? Definitely not the first time this man had to put up with that family. And if they were piling on top of him and hittiing him, and there was just him on his own, then at that point I'd say he pulled out the gun in desperation/self defence.

A Spanish family just move in our street, and every time they party, they tune the music so loud and went on sometime til 2am... this is a good message for people like to play loud music at night.. respect the neighborhood!!!!

I can understand the loud music can get to a person especially when your neighbors think they own the neighborhood

I live at a duplex and my neighbor's son, who's been in and out of jail lives in the garage. He's got no job and a lot of time on his hands. Got sketchy people going in and out at all times of the day and night. The outside now looks like a homeless encampment. It really sucks having neighbors who don't care.

I hate to say this. But I sympathize for the neighbor! This is wat happens when u don't know how to respect ur neighbors.. and the continuous loud music show they could care less about the ppl around them.. hope he can fight the murder charge.

My neighbors are currently playing loud music past 11 on a Monday night. It’s driving me mad because I can’t sleep and I have to get up early for work tomorrow.

Persistent antisocial behaviour from neighbours, especially excessive noise at all hours, can make your life a living hell; it is a form of abuse which is just as distressing for the victim as actual physical assault or home invasion, and ought to be recognised as such.

He was defending himself. There were 3 guys on top of him. I do believe they play very loud music as I have experience that myself.

They are in fear for their lives that’s why they continue to play loud music even though they know they are disturbing their neighbors and one particular neighbor who is pissed! Making it sound like there are all innocent when the one got shot was on top of the person who shot him!

If they were living in "fear" the music would have been lowered. Respect your neighbors. Loud noise is pure torture.
