Here's thought - Even with fuel consumption of 10-15mpg, at those fuel prices in 1992, it would have cost the same to run as a car that does around 60mpg in 2022! That means that your typical Ford Fiesta 1.5 diesel is as expensive to run NOW and that huge V12 Jag was back CRAZY TIMES! 😒

I know what he is talking about I had the V12 in 1996 that was the only problem I had with that XJS fuel consumption I traded it in for the 3.6 litre one and got around 18 miles to the gallon at 30 MPH 😂 two of many Jaguars from my first one in 1977 it was a mark 2 1964 best jaguar ever in my opinion

Approx £55 to fill it 30+ years ago. That's what it costs to fill a Ford Fiesta.

I have one and its lovely, you will get single figure mpg if you give it the beans, But steady driving you will get 20 mpg,

About that time I had a car with a Leakey fuel tank, I drove to Ireland and back only being able to put 3 quid in it before it leaked, imagine doing that now lol

Voiture hors du temps, même en collection, vivre avec, coûte une fortune pour peu de plaisir, hormis peut être les dernières série en 6 cylindres 4 L beau moteur, mieux finies, moins gourmande, voiture loupée après la type E, Jaguar n'a jamais eu la volonté de faire évoluer ce modèle vite dépassé, 21 ans d'existence!
