My reasonable estimate for how much Kita spent on that bass goes like this. Say allowance is around $10 a week (1500 yen) which means about $40 a month and $480 in a year. Kita spent 2 years advance allowance plus her New Years Money to purchase the bass. A reasonable amount of New Years gift money to me would be around $100 (15000 yen), so in my mind Kita probably spent a little over $1000 or 150, 000 yen for the bass. I can clearly see why Kita-chan is no longer with us lol.

It's funny how much Kita and Bocchi are so alike despite being practically and visually total mirror opposites of one another. They even share similar "animation styles" when in moments of high stress. Bocchi is obviously much more animated than Kita much more frequently, but Kita is the only other member of Kessoku Band to outright mimic some of Bocchi's expressions or get animated in such crazy and detailed ways when having breakdowns. Hell, the show makes a point of highlighting this in a later episode.

Obviously Nijika and Ryo have their moments, but when they get stylistic, it's usually done in a more simplistic and chibi style of animation, like you'd expect from slice of life characters in a slice of life anime, unless it's shown from Bocchi's perspective. Cat ears, big heads and eyes, and snappy animation. I don't remember either of them doing what you see Kita doing here (going completely squiggly, having her soul come out of her body to talk for her, etc.). But Kita really seems to be closest to Bocchi in terms of stylistic animation moments (close being a relative term).

One of the things I like about this show is that despite being a "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things" anime they are not afraid to make the characters go off model in order to sell a joke.
